Compensating Cable

Well Thermocouple compensating cable is a specialized wire designed to extend thermocouple signals to temperature measuring instruments. Made of alloy materials corresponding to those of the thermocouple, it accurately transmits temperature signals at connection points, preventing measurement errors caused by differences in wire material. The temperature measurement principle of a thermocouple relies on the generation of a thermoelectric potential at the junction of different metals. If ordinary copper wire is used for extension, an additional voltage may arise due to differences in metal composition, leading to inaccurate temperature readings. Compensation wires are made of alloys that match the specific type of thermocouple (such as K, J, T, R, or S types), effectively compensating for deviations caused by extension length and ensuring accurate temperature measurement.
